One of Taiwan's five major mountains, Mt. Nanhu towers 3,742 meters high, making it the tallest peak in Taroko National Park, the third tallest peak in the Central Range, and the fifth highest mountain in Taiwan. The ecosystem of Mt. Nanhu is primarily alpine tundra.(Jing-Hung Tsai)
