Agencies on Outstanding Performance for Software Assess Management Program Accredited

The "2002 IPR and Computer Software Protection Accreditation" ceremony will be held in the Auditorium, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) at 10 a.m. tomorrow
(21st) morning to the dedicated government agencies that have had outstanding performance on IPR and computer software protection. The ceremony will be officiated by Mr. CHEN Ruei-long, Vice Minister of MOEA, and attended by representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Prosecutors' Office of Taiwan High Court, Directorate General of the Customs, and those from trade representative offices from Taiwan's trading partners.
To promote the awareness of intellectual property protection by alighting the government itself as an exemplar, recognitions including monetary bonus and large-scale ceremonies have continuously been carried out by the MOEA to dedicate those outstanding IPR enforcement, administrative and judicial agencies that have achieved significant contributions to IPR protection.
55 agencies, where 47 are dedicated for outstanding achievement on IPR protection and enforcement and 8 on software assessment protection, will be awarded.
To emphasize our determination and resolution on fighting against IPR infringements as well as to demonstrate the substantial results on raiding IPR infringements, photographs and illustrations from major crackdowns will be exhibited by the Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) at the auditorium.
