Children's Welfare

The goal of children's welfare efforts is to insure the full development, happiness, and well-being of our young.

Children's welfare work includes such tasks as providing health care, support for low-income families, daycare, child disability training, and care for disadvantaged children. With changes in society, the attitude toward children's welfare has become more active, focused, and professional in providing for the needs of our young.

Children's welfare in promoted in the ROC in accordance with the Fundamental National Policies set forth in the national Constitution. It is our national responsibility and an issue that all citizens should be aware of. In carry out this mission, the Children's Welfare Law serves as an important foundation, and its execution should be handled by professionally charged agencies at the central and local government levels so that children's welfare can be tangibly realized and fostered.
