and reptiles commonly found here include the Moltrechti's green tree
frog, Chinese moccasin, South China forest skink, Harti's glass lizard,
and Swinhoe''s brown frog. Common insects living in this belt include
the Formosan long-armed scarab, Damselfly, Variegated stag beetle,
Red-winged stag beetle, Large purple fritillary, Broad-tailed swallowtail
butterfly, and Highland red-belly swallowtail butterfly. With careful
observation, many species of birds-such as Steere's liocichla, Muller's
barbet, Formosan whistling thrush, Steere's liocichla, Muller's barbet,
Formosan whistling thrush, Swinhoe's pheasant, Plumbeous water redstart,
Black-naped monarch and White-eared sibia-can also be found in the
