Features:

Michelia compressa are low-altitude evergreen trees whose leaves gradually wither, turn red, and fall off throughout the year rather then falling during a specific season. Their twigs have ringed stipules on them, their flower buds are covered with drab hairs, their perianths are yellow, and their mature fruits have follicles. The pattern of their bark is similar to the Anguilla marmorata, hence its nickname of "Anguilla marmorata tree." Michelia compressa are a good source of fine-textured, high-quality wood, and are ideal for making cutting boards.

Habitat:

Michelia compressa are found in flat lands and forests up to 2200m in elevation.
