The
Collared scops owl has a large body build and chestnut colored
plumage. Their most distinguishing characteristic is their ruby
colored eyes.

mammals, birds, and reptiles. They are nocturnal birds that
usually roost alone, hiding away on a branch during the daytime.
Their breeding season is between May and June, and they usually
build their nests in caves. Females typically lay a clutch of
two to three eggs.
